4th hot seat with Grainne Conole starting on monday 18th

On Monday January 18th our fourth Hot Seat will start. This time we have Grainne Conole hosting a discussion on “Theories and Methodologies for Research in Networked Learning”. The discussion will be held for a week in the Hot Seat forum of our networked learning community.

 

Grainne Conole is Professor of e-Learning at the Open University, with research interests in the use, integration and evaluation of Information and Communication Technologies and e-learning and impact on organisational change. She serves on and chairs a number of national and international advisory boards, steering groups, committees and international conference programmes. She has published and presented over 200 conference proceedings, workshops and articles, including over 50 journal publications on a range of topics, such as the use and evaluation of learning technologies. She is editor of the Association of Learning Technologies journal, ALT-J.

Grainne’s current research interests centre on:

1.  translating theory into practice - learning design,

2.  the evaluation of learning technologies,

3.  organisational change,

4.  the development of underpinning research frameworks and theory for current ICT processes and practice.
