5th hot seat with Rupert Wegerif and Gabriel Salomon monday 15th

On Monday February 15th our next Hot Seat will start. This time we have Rupert Wegerif and Gabriel Salomon hosting a discussion on “Globalisation and Interculturality in Networked Learning”. The discussion will be held for a week in the Hot Seat forum of our networked learning community.

 

Professor Rupert Wegerif’s research is focused around dialogic theory and dialogue in education in relation to ICT and general thinking and learning skills in a global context, including:

1. Dialogical approaches to teaching and learning with ICT

2. Applying a dialogical model of reason in education.

3. ICT and teaching thinking through induction into dialogue.

4. Computer Supported Collaborative Learning.

Theory and practice of teaching thinking and creativity.

 

Professor Gabriel Salomon is director and founder of the Center for Research on Peace Education at the University of Haifa. He has published more than 120 empirical, theoretical, and methodological articles in a variety of professional journals in the USA, Israel, Europe, and Latin America in the fields of technology, learning, cognition and learning; educational evaluation, and peace education.
